Our Approach
Our mission is to make sustainably-grown cut flowers accessible to everyone.
We are a coastal farm based in Volusia County, Florida, where we grow beautiful, scented, and seasonal flowers in a way that is kind to the environment.
High-street flowers often have one of the largest carbon footprints per dollar spent—most are flown in from abroad or grown using heavy chemicals and artificial heat, taking a profound toll on our planet.
We believe there is a better way: one that embraces the natural seasons and celebrates blooms when they flower naturally. Where flowers are treasured rather than treated as mere commodities. Where we work in harmony with nature, protect our local habitats, and actively give back by building healthy, thriving soil.
We also believe flowers don’t need to travel thousands of miles to reach you. The carbon footprint of long-distance transportation is enormous, so we proudly grow 100% of our blooms right here in the United States—most harvested by us on our Volusia County coastal farm, and occasionally sourced from other trusted local growers when needed.
Beyond growing responsibly, we strive to be a force for good. We support humanitarian and conservation charities, and we are committed to creating a positive workplace that treats our team well and pays a true living wage.
Sustainably Grown
Sustainability means meeting our needs today without compromising future generations' ability to meet theirs — a principle at the heart of everything we do.
By selling flowers directly from our farm, we eliminate the long-distance travel typical in the cut-flower industry, slashing air miles, refrigeration needs, and associated carbon emissions.
We grow seasonally, without heated greenhouses or artificial lights to force out-of-season blooms — keeping energy use low and respecting natural cycles.
Flowers are picked to order, so we avoid large-scale cold storage that consumes power and creates waste.
All our waste is composted, returning nutrients to the soil and closing the loop instead of sending it to landfill.
Nothing we sell uses plastic packaging — we keep single-use plastics out entirely.
Our no-till approach avoids disturbing the soil, allowing it to sequester and store carbon naturally while building healthy biodiversity underground and around us.
We focus on real, in-the-ground solutions rather than offsets — growing better flowers while actively protecting the planet.
Freshly Picked
Freshness is key to longer-lasting blooms, which is why we pick your flowers to order—harvested just a day or so before they ship to you. This means your bouquet arrives in peak condition and will thrive significantly longer in your vase compared to flowers that may have been cut weeks earlier.
To keep them perfectly hydrated during transit, we carefully wrap the stems in damp, absorbent fabric (or a specialized wet wrap). This simple yet effective method locks in moisture without any mess, ensuring the flowers stay as fresh and vibrant as possible right up to the moment you unwrap them.
Plastic Free
The floral industry relies heavily on plastic — from plant trays, compost bags, and seed pots to bouquet sleeves and transport crates. Much of this is single-use plastic that often ends up in landfills, contributing to broader environmental harm.
Single-use plastics are a major driver of global pollution, with millions of tonnes leaking into rivers, lakes, and ultimately the oceans each year — an estimated 19–23 million tonnes annually enter aquatic ecosystems worldwide. Once in the ocean, plastic doesn't biodegrade; it breaks down into microplastics that persist for centuries, harming marine life through ingestion, entanglement, and toxic contamination, and entering the food chain that can affect humans too.
We recognize the practical benefits of durable plastic items like seed trays, pots, and crates in growing and handling flowers efficiently. That's why we're committed to reusing our trays, pots, and other reusable plastic equipment for as long as possible, extending their life cycle and reducing the need for replacements.
At the same time, we're dedicated to eliminating single-use plastic entirely. You'll never receive our flowers wrapped in plastic sleeves, polythene, or excessive film. All our packaging is 100% recyclable and biodegradable/compostable — so if you do receive any, feel free to pop it straight into your compost bin or home composting system.
By minimizing waste at every step and choosing responsible alternatives, we're working to keep plastic out of landfills and, crucially, out of our oceans.
Healthy Soil
Soil is incredible. We often dismiss it as mere "mud" or "dirt," but it's a complex, living ecosystem teeming with millions of organisms.
Healthy, thriving soil produces healthy, vibrant flowers and food. That's why we're committed to nurturing ours as much as possible.
The first step: we practice **no-dig** gardening. For years, people ploughed and dug, believing it made soil "light and fluffy" for roots. In reality, tilling destroys the delicate soil structure, harming its biology. So we avoid digging entirely. Instead, each year we add a thick layer of nutrient-rich compost on top and let nature — worms, microbes, and time — do the mixing
We also refuse peat-based compost. Peat is a finite resource extracted from ancient bogs that store vast amounts of carbon — in fact, peatlands hold twice as much carbon as all the world's forests combined. Harvesting peat releases this stored carbon and destroys irreplaceable ecosystems. Our compost is 100% peat-free, made from waste materials like biogas byproducts and forestry residues.
By caring for the soil this way, we grow better flowers while protecting the planet.
