Gas-fired Aga cookers work on the principle of heat transfer from one centralised heat source, in this case, this is a gas burner. The gas-fired Aga radiates this core heat around the whole cast iron body of the cooker including the ovens and hot plates as well as into the room as ambient warmth. It is designed to be kept running at an optimum temperature 24/7.
